MARY PLACE GALLERY
12 Mary Place Paddington 2021
Gallery hours Mon-Sat 11am-6pm, Sun 12-5pm

Exhibition current until Sun 2nd Sep

This exhibition brings together four very different artists, each utilising diverse media, techniques and form, but who are also united in their fascination with place; the spaces we fill and that fulfill us.

Anthony Whites fascination lies in maintaining the spirit of the act of painting itself. Quoting Anthony, painting has been declared dead...but there is something in the finding of form through observation and abstraction which keeps me coming back for more. His works show an incredible tactility, where cumulative layers of paint reveal even deeper layers below, evoking a sense of spirit of place, memory and imagination.
